My world has been rocked this morning. I want to thank Angela for sharing this video on her blog.
I can’t exactly form words for what I am feeling this morning, but I can tell you I’ve been crying (really, almost sobbing) for about 30 minutes. I can tell you it was no mistake I ran across this video. Everything seems very clear and very fuzzy right now.
Our baby is due next week. I can’t believe we are here already…what a miracle. Matt & I have been so richly blessed by God beyond any expectation. What are we doing in return? What does He want us to do?
Last week, we started watching Beyond Borders on Netflix. We’ve only watched about 1/3 of it, but it’s a movie that really gets you talking. Talking about about how good we have it here in America. How blessed we all are. How silly our “problems” must seem to God. I’ve had this on my mind for many days now…
If you read my previous post, you saw that I dreamed we gave birth to an Asian baby…a little girl with long hair and chubby cheeks. I woke up SO confused. I’m fairly certain Baby T will not be Asian.
So what do all these things mean?? I often say to Matt, “What are we supposed to be doing with our lives? Because this is not it. We are meant for something more.” (seriously, I rant about this probably once a month.) BUT WHAT?
Maybe it’s conviction, maybe it’s boredom, maybe it’s a yearning for purpose. What I know is that I just cannot stop crying this morning! Yes, I am hormonal and on the verge of the biggest life change ever…but there is something else stirring inside of me. Looks like I’ve got some praying to do.
No matter what you believe or where you are from, PLEASE take seven minutes and watch this. At least promise me you’ll watch the first minute or so (and I bet you’ll want to finish it). 2:00-3:00 will really hit home for anyone with children of their own.
Take from it what you will. Share it if you can. No matter if you have a heart for mission work or adoption or evangelism. We’re all here on our fancy computers, reading blogs, working, browsing the web, sitting in A/C with a cool drink in hand. We can spare a few minutes to think about & pray for others who have nothing.
Love,
WOAH.
